📲 Install the App
The Timber Lake community site works as a free app right from your phone's home screen — no App Store, no Google Play. Once installed, you can receive push notifications for community alerts and events.
It's just a shortcut, not a download. Nothing is installed in the traditional sense — your phone just saves a link that opens the site full-screen, like an app.
🍎 iPhone / iPad (Safari)
Push notifications on iOS require the app to be added to your Home Screen and opened from there. Safari alone won't support notifications.
- Open timberlake.info in Safari Must be Safari — Chrome and other iOS browsers don't support this yet.
- Tap the Share button The box with an arrow pointing up (⬆) at the bottom of the screen.
- Scroll down and tap "Add to Home Screen" You'll see a preview with the Timber Lake icon. Tap Add to confirm.
- Open the app from your Home Screen Tap the new Timber Lake icon — it will open full-screen like a native app.
- Tap "Enable" on the notifications card Allow notifications when prompted and you're all set!
Requires iOS 16.4 or later. To check: Settings → General → About → iOS Version.
🤖 Android (Chrome)
Android makes this especially easy — Chrome will often prompt you automatically.
- Open timberlake.info in Chrome Chrome is recommended for the best experience.
- Tap "Add to Home Screen" if prompted Chrome may show a banner at the bottom automatically. Tap it to install.
- Or: tap the ⋮ menu → "Add to Home Screen" If no banner appears, open the browser menu (three dots, top right) and choose Add to Home Screen.
- Open the app from your Home Screen Tap the Timber Lake icon — it opens full-screen without the browser chrome.
- Allow notifications when prompted Tap Enable on the notifications card and accept the permission request.
